What does the product do?

Tracking Systems’ GeoTrak Pro™ allows you to track any mobile asset with speed, agility and precision from your web-enabled Personal Computer.

How does it work?

GeoTrak Pro™ uses a GSM or CDMA modem in conjunction with a GPS receiver.  The wireless data protocols are an efficient and secure data technology that is ideal for sending and receiving messages to and from wireless products.  The unit sends out a message or “packet” containing it’s location to our secure tracking servers.

How does GeoTrak Pro™ compare to analog tracking systems?

In a word, better.

The cost of sending postion data on analog networks is 20 times greater than the cost of the more efficient digital networks .  With GSM or CDMA data, the speed and agility is greatly improved. The GeoTrak Pro™  unit is designed for extensive tracking purposes or fleet usage. Due to the low cost of transmission, continuous real time tracking is made cost effective.

Does it work everywhere?

GeoTrak Pro™ is operational wherever GSM or CDMA data networks are available.  Please contact us to check for coverage in your area. Coverage exists in most metropolitan areas.

How does the unit receive power?

There are many ways to provide power to your GeoTrak Pro™. Most people hardwire the unit to the mobile asset they are tracking by wiring it directly to a continuous power source. This will allow you to get a location of the vehicle even when the ignition is turned off.

How does the antenna work?

Miniature design, with double-sided adhesive for mounting, these new antennas are a marvel in RF circuitry. Typical installation is placed on a window, but other antenna’s installations include inside a taillight, in the back deck of a vehicle, on a dash, or embedded.  The ergonomic design allows them to blend in. For optimum performance, the antenna should be mounted away from metal objects that might interfere.

How many people can log on to the GeoTrak Pro™ website and view the results?

As many as you want. There is no built-in restriction as to how many people can view the map-site at one time. Its up to you as to how many people are authorized.

What is the product warranty?

The Warranty is for one year, parts and labor. The service warranty is for one year of updates and feature enhancements.
